PrintServer is an application designed for central printing of laboratory results. It is linked to Selma app and it prints all laboratory results which come to Selma from various laboratory systems. Printed results are filed into collection routes by recipient and are printed out in a certain printing place. They are then marked by a barcode thanks to which a printed page is verified and stored in a database. All operations are logged in a database.

PrintServer results processing – the results send to a database of Selma app are pre-processed by a printing service which generates and adds barcodes. PrintServer is able to process the results and send them in a PDF format (if all necessary data are recorded in file name) or in a XML Dasta 3 format.

PrintServer print – following the start of printing by a member of staff the app starts printing the results according to collection routes and printing place. A coversheet with a route number, list of workplace ID and number of pages for each workplace is printed as first. If there is a missing collection route for a GP, or if no GP is found for a result, the result is printed at the end of the printing queue as unfiled. Printing can be done on 2 printers simultaneously.

PrintServer verificaton – all pages which were printed in the app need to be verified by scanning the printed pages. If a page has not been scanned it will be printed in the next print. If a page is scanned twice it is marked as a duplicity in a verification window. A list of results sorted by collection routes is displayed in a verification window and all results are marked in color as processed, printed, verified or duplicate. Number of results for each category can be seen in following window.

Code lists editing - authorized personnel have the option to edit collection routes for each GP and search printing places and times of all results.
